About this site
Join me on my journey to financial freedom as I share insights for introverts navigating personal finance with confidence and creativity.

Welcome to Silent but Wealthy! I’m Rob, a lifelong introvert who recently fully realized and embraced what this means and the power it entails, especially in the world of personal finance. I've been on a wealth-building journey for most of my life, even if I didn’t always realize it. The path has been bumpy, to say the least. While my partner and I have achieved a net worth of over a million dollars and six-figure salaries, our ultimate goal of financial freedom is yet to be realized.
Okay, maybe this goal is more mine than ours. Being an introvert, my definition of financial freedom differs quite a bit from hers. Although she is a full contributor to our financial goals, she is still driven by her 9-to-5—or is it 9-to-9?—and that’s okay; we understand each other's motivations.
To me, financial freedom means being in a place where I am happy with the things I need to do to meet my financial wants and needs. Essentially, I want to live life on my terms and be in control of every daily decision. If you’re an introvert, this probably resonates with you, and you may already take this approach in many areas of your life.
My financial journey has been defined by many experiences, including being raised by a frugal single mother, my first banking experience, a subscription to Kiplinger's while others my age were receiving Nintendo Power in the mail, Investing for Dummies—my first investing book—and many more. My journey continues, and while I want to share these past lessons, I also want to share what's next, and this blog is where I will do that.

A Note on Content and Advice
The content on this website is for informational purposes only and reflects my personal experiences and opinions. I am not a financial advisor, and nothing on this site should be construed as financial, legal, or professional advice. I am simply trying to educate you on what options are out there and how, as an introvert, you can leverage your strengths to make decisions. I believe that for most investors, a financial advisor can provide the most personalized and expert review and guidance on their financial health. I fully suggest everyone meet with a fee-only financial advisor at least once to understand what they can offer. I realize that for introverts, this can be perceived as a very uncomfortable situation that can quickly become overwhelming, but there are financial advisors who provide these services fully online in a more introvert-friendly way, allowing you to have this analysis done from the comfort of your couch.
What About Affiliate Links?
You might notice that some links on this blog are affiliate links. What does that mean? Essentially, if you click through one of these links and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It’s a way for me to earn some income while sharing valuable resources with you.
I want to be transparent about this because I genuinely believe in the products and services I recommend. I will only endorse products that I have actually used and found beneficial. You can count on my reviews to be honest and straightforward; I won’t promote anything just to earn a commission. My goal is to share things that I think will truly help you.
So, if you choose to support the blog through these links, thank you! It helps me keep the content coming and continue sharing my journey and insights with you. Remember, whether you use the links or not, I appreciate you being here and engaging with my content!
How Do I Use AI?
I fully believe in and support content creators who produce creative and unique content utilizing their individual skills and talents and count myself among those. I view AI as a tool to facilitate that, similar to a word processor or a computer itself. I responsibly use tools like ChatGPT and Grammarly to help polish my content and streamline the process of bringing it to you. The voice and experiences presented here are fully mine. I do not use these tools to fully generate any content, including logos and images, with the exception of some graphs and charts, which I rely on the creator community for.
